The University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI) is embarking on a bold transformation to expand on academic opportunities and deliver even greater value to our students, staff and communities. We have a proud history of providing high-quality education, research and knowledge exchange across the Highlands and Islands, Moray and Perthshire.

Our mission is clear - to have a transformational impact on the people, communities and economies of our regions. To realise this, University Court and partner principals have committed to creating a more integrated and unified organisation. This strategic evolution will strengthen our ability to meet the needs of students, staff and other key stakeholders while deepening our contributions to regional development.

As part of this journey, we have developed an Outline Business Case to foster a more unified and integrated partnership. Our goal is to make the best possible decisions for our students, staff and communities as we move forward. Engaging with students, staff and stakeholders early on is essential to ensuring that any proposed changes truly benefit the UHI partnership.

We invite you to review our UHI Transformation engagement summary outlining early proposals for a more integrated partnership. The next critical milestone is the preparation of a Full Business Case, scheduled for submission to partner boards of management and University Court later this year. Your feedback will play a key role in developing the Full Business Case.

Please take a moment to share your thoughts via our online survey. Together, we can build a stronger, more dynamic institution that truly serves the needs of our regions.
